Let's talk about the ideal placement and planting for these cacti. Holiday Cactus cannot tolerate full sun, so it is best to place them near a north or east-facing window. If kept outside, choose a shady location where they can receive indirect light. Since these plants are tropical, they require consistent levels of humidity, and using a water tray underneath them helps maintain the moisture in the air. Avoid placing them near air conditioners or heaters as this can dry them out. The temperature should ideally be around 60 to 65F, except when they're blooming.

When it comes to planting, Christmas Cactus prefers quick-draining, sandy soil.
