No Scent is Sweeter than Jasmine!

Jasmine plants, native to the Middle East and Asia, come in various varieties. They thrive in warm and sunny environments and are known for their delightful fragrance. Whether you want to keep them indoors or in your garden, we offer a wide selection of jasmine plants, including Arabian Jasmine, Brazilian Jasmine, Pink Jasmine, Night Blooming Jasmine, Maid of Orleans, Confederate, and Star Jasmine.

Placement Jasmine plants require full and bright sun throughout the day, with some tolerance for afternoon shade. It is essential to provide them with ample light. Place them near a south-facing window to maximize sunlight exposure. If you live in zones below 7, transfer your jasmine plants to pots and bring them indoors during winter. Jasmine plants cannot withstand temperatures below 40F and prefer temperatures between 60F and 80F.

Soil and Pruning Use an organic blend of porous materials, peat moss, bark, and compost. Ensure proper drainage, as jasmine plants are susceptible to root rot. Provide a spacious pot for growth and a trellis for climbing jasmine varieties. Trim the plant regularly to maintain its upright and sturdy form. Remove dead foliage to allow the plant to focus its energy on new and lush growth.

Watering Avoid keeping the soil of your jasmine plant excessively damp. Allow the top one or two inches of soil to dry before watering. However, ensure that the soil does not completely dry out. Check the moisture level by inserting your finger into the soil. Water the plant once or more per week, depending on the temperature. Let the water thoroughly soak through the pot until it drains out of the holes. Jasmine plants appreciate humidity, so misting or placing a water tray nearby can help increase moisture in the air.

Fertilizer During the growing season, use a liquid fertilizer rich in phosphorous and potassium every two to four weeks to promote blooming. Stop fertilizing and reduce watering during winter when the plant goes dormant and requires less sunlight. With consistent cool temperatures, jasmine plants can still bloom in winter.

Pests and Fungus Jasmine plants are prone to whiteflies, mites, and aphids. In case of infestation, create a solution of soap and water to spray on the leaves. This should deter the bugs. Additionally, inspect the plant and manually remove any visible pests. To combat fungus, which can cause discoloration and wilted leaves, use a mixture of baking soda spray and ensure proper aeration.

JASMINE PLANT – a small shrub or vine widely cultivated for its beautiful and sweet-scented flowers. Used in perfumes and jasmine tea. Can grow up to 1.6 to 9.8 ft in height. Suitable for indoor or outdoor cultivation.

GROWING A JASMINE PLANT – Jasmine plants are easy to grow and prefer well-drained soil. Regular watering and fertilizing are essential. Partial to full shade is ideal for jasmine plants. To encourage abundant jasmine flower growth, use phosphorous fertilizer.

TAKING CARE OF JASMINE PLANT - Common pests for jasmine include whiteflies, nematodes, and mealybugs. To prevent these destructive insects, apply neem oil to the plant's soil.

PRUNING – Maintain the size and shape of shrub jasmine varieties through regular pruning. Some jasmine plants grow slowly, while others grow aggressively and require frequent trimming. For vining jasmine plants, use a trellis and secure weaker vines for support. Trim excess vines regularly.
